Nepal has a great history in woolen products and export from its ancient period to till now. Carpet weaving trend is an old business for Nepal. It has no long history of its miraculous  success in the international market among Europe & America. Nepalese hand knotted carpet earned qualitative credit in the international Market. While it gained its promoted market in foreign, there was seen some difficulties in manufacturing as a labour problem and unbalanced situation in the industry.
In that condition a group of carpet manufacturers negotiated and made it calm and to make it safe sector, that movement brought the concept of unity among all carpet manufacturers to create the association. By the strong efforts of all manufacturers this association was established in 2000. A.D.
